HEALING FROM HURT

Hi Guys! As we prepare for the New Year, I felt like sharing a bit about dealing with hurt. I just feel like a lot of you are dealing with hurt in some way, shape or form that has burdened and bound you in some way in 2015-but it does not have to carry over to 2016!
I have shared a number of links on this post below from my Soundcloud account dealing specifically with healing from hurt.
And here, I will be discussing quiet briefly as well within a biblical context, the danger of looking back, of refusing to be healed from the pain-of fighting the purpose behind that particular wound.

The Word says:

Genesis 19:26 (NIV):
26 But Lot’s wife looked back, and she became a pillar of salt.

Lot’s wife looked back and what happened to her? She became a pillar of salt. The key word I want to highlight there is became. In other words, the only elevation, the only manner of advancement that came from looking back for her was to become a pillar of salt. In other words, she became nothing more than she already was-she regressed in her becoming. That is the danger of looking back-that is the danger of refusing to advance. You embrace Lot’s wife’s identity of refusing to move ahead-of failing to see, there is nothing left behind. Some of you, the LORD has shown you a way out, but you still refuse to move! Why is that? Don’t look back:

Isaiah 43:18-19 (NIV):
18
“Forget the former things;
do not dwell on the past.
19
See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness
    and streams in the wasteland.

The LORD says we should forget the former things and not dwell on the past.
To forget means to fail to remember, to dwell means to live in or at a specified place-some of you are living in the past. The past is no longer here-let go!
The problem for some of you, is like Lot’s wife, you fail to face forward, you look back-and the only future in such a position is to become nothing more than a pillar of salt-in other words, you will not be able to step into your calling, your destiny if you look back instead of looking ahead.
And this process is not easy! I acknowledge that completely and totally. This is why it is a process. Notice in Isaiah 43:19 the LORD says I am doing a new thing! And He says it with such emphasis because it is important for you to allow Him move in your behalf.
He is working on your behalf, a new thing is being made, and it will spring up around you-allow yourself to perceive it! To perceive is to sense! Some of you, have been taken out of bondage and are now in the wilderness stage, the desert-the place where the LORD strips you of who you were as He prepares you to be who He has called you to be-I know this phase very well so please don’t think for a second I speak from nothing less than experience.
This stage is not easy but it is necessary. This is where He teaches and leads you and you learn He is your source-don’t expect the process to be pretty just because you have come out of that pain! No. There will be pressure as you are being prepared for purpose. There will be a lot of growing in that wilderness phase-and the LORD says it is the next stage because as soon as He says we should not look back, He says I am making a way in the wilderness. In other words, you will be taken through the wilderness, but this is a good thing because He makes a way in the wilderness and He makes streams in the wasteland-this is where you learn He alone is your source-this is where you begin to understand He alone is your sustenance and this is necessary as you prepare to receive the blessing.
A wilderness is a neglected or abandoned area; an uncultivated, uninhabited and inhospitable region-so don’t be discouraged if you are in this space-you are being purged of everything that was in you that is not of Him.
And this is where you grow into relationship with Him, where you realize He is your everything-so allow this stage to move in you; allow yourself to perceive the new thing He is beginning in you-this is when He starts to steer dreams in you, this is when He begins to speak to your pain and heal it into purpose, this is where He begins to show you your destiny-this is where you discover His Truth-this is where you start to see His visions for your life and they become your desires.
It is in the wilderness that this happens.
So heal-allow Him to heal you-don’t look back.
God bless you as you move ahead in the journey the LORD has called you to. Allow Him in-He alone can heal you wholly and completely in a way that pain can no longer speak in your life but in purpose.
I speak from experience-let Him heal you-it is such a beautiful thing-and watch as He turns your pain into purpose.
God Bless You and Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
